Clavaria argillacea has a clarly clavate fruitbody and grows
often in small groups in wet localities. Color yellowish to
"straw", up to 80mm long. Spores 9-13x4,5-5,5µm Ecology/Indicatorvalue C. agillacea can grow in different habitats
from forest to coastal heaths, marshes and peat soils. It has a highly
irregular fruiting from year to year like many other Clavarias.
It has probably no indicator value.
