Clavaria atrofusca has black to blue-black
fruitbodies which are variable in form and can
sometimes be mixed with earthtongues. The fruitbody
is narrowly cylindrical and 2-4 cm long. The spores are verruculose-echinulate and
approx. 6 -8.5 x3.5-5 µm. It can be confused with C. asperulospora but this has smaller
spores. Ecology It grows in grasslands but have only a few
finds in Norway, so the knowledge is inadequate. It is most probably very
seldom but can have been overlooked because it is
difficult to spot. In 2019 it was found on Nautøya,
Stord, which is the only find in Western Norway. |
