Clavaria pullei has red to brownish fruit-bodies without branches. They are narrow cylindrical-clavate from 2-4 cm long. The spores are smooth ellipsoid and approx. 6 x 4 μm. This distinguishes it from C. asperulospora, which has echinulate spores at the same size. Ecology/Indcatorvalue It grows in calcareous pastures and in clearings in the forests. It grows in base-rich grasslands in Stord, Bømlo and Stord the only finds in Western Norway. It is seldom in Norway and only found on a few localities, but due to color and size, may be difficult to detect, and it can have been overlooked. |
