(Entoloma chalybeum) (Fr.: Fr.) Noordel.

Entoloma chalybaeum is a relatively small and sparse pinkgill with dark blue cap and blue polished stem. The gills often have a bluish tinge especially in young specimens. E. chalybeum belongs to Section Caesiocaules characterized with deeply bluish-black species with bluish to greyish lamellae. May resemble species in sect. Cyanula og sect. Asprella. Comprises five species in Norway: E. chalybeum, E. pseudocruentatum, E. lazulinum,  E. erhardii og E. sodale (Brandrud et. al 2023).

Ecology/Indicator-value: Entoloma chalybaeum is a relatively common pinkgill in unfertilized grasslands, but it is sensible to soil cultivation and fertilization. Probably a relatively good indicator for valuable grasslands.    Fructification in Norway: From end of July to beginning of  November, mainly in August/September.
