Entoloma porphyrogriseum is a medium-sized pinkgill with strong dark blue colors on the cap and stem. The cap is scaly while the stem is clearly fibrillose. With age becoming more brownish with a blue tinge.

Gill-edge sterile with cheilocystidia

Ecology/Indicatorvalue:

Entoloma corvinum is a relatively common pinkgill in unfertilized grasslands, but is sensitive to soil cultivation and fertilization. Often found in grasslands with many other rare and red-listed fungi. It is probably a good indicator. It is found in many localities along the coast, but it also grows inland.

Fructification in Norway: From medio July to beginning of October, mainly in August/September.
