Entoloma neglectum is a relatively small whitish pinkgill growing in grasslands. It has also been published as E. cremeoalbum similar to E. neglectum but with 2-spored bacidia and bigger spores (Jordal & Noordeloos 2010). It has later by molecular studies been shown to be the same species.

 

 

Characteristics:

Up to 40mm Plano convex to plano concave, center often depressed, white to cream-colored, sometimes with pinkish tinge	Pale cream, later broadly adnate-decurrent. Spores: 12-17 µm. Large spores in species with 2-spored bacidia.	Up to 30 x 3 mm Cylindrical straight or curved. Colour as cap or lighter.	Normally not to mix with other species

 

 

Ecology/indicatorvalue: E. neglectum grows in grassland and prefer calcareous soil. It is
seldom in Western Norway with only a few finds, and is probably a good indicator for
valuable grasslands.

Redlistcategory: VU - vulnerable
