(Hygrocybe insipida) (J.E. Lange) M.M. Moser

Hygrocybe insipida is often a very little yellow to orange waxcap that has lubricous cap and moist stem often with re colours at the top. Hygrocybe incipida can be difficult to determine and can easily be mixed with other small yellow/orange waxcaps.

Characteristics:

Cap	Gills	Stipe	Similar species
Small, up to 25mm. Klevbrig.  Orange-red to yellow Oransjerød til gul, bellshaped later applanate. Often with depressed center Striate from edge.	Adnate to decurrent.TIlvokste til nedløpende, orange to yellow.	Thin up to 50m. Cylindrical , often curved. depressed on older specimens. Moist, but becoms dry.	H. miniata, but this is bigger with viscid cap.   H. mucronella, but this is more red and has a bitter taste.

Ecology/Indicatorvalue: Grows normally in unfertilized grasslands.

Limited indicatorvalue since it is rather common.

Fructification in Norway: From August to beginning of November, mainly in

September/October.
