Hygrocybe subpapillata is a little yellow-orange waxcap often with a central papilla.

Characteristics:

Cap	Gills	Stipe	Similar species
Up to 30mm, yellow-orange with a central papilla. Conical, later applanate. Surface lubricous often with a  translucently striate edge.	Broadly adnate to slightly decurrent.  Tramacells long - up to 800µm	Up to 50x3mm Long, thin often slightly widen towards base. Yellow-orange, dry and slightly fibrillose.	Yellow forms of H. glutinipes but this has a slimy stem, but also has long tramacells

Ecology/Indicatorvalue:

Indicator value is uncertain, it is seldom and only found a on few localities in Soth-Western Norway.
