Porpolomopsis calyptriformis is a relatively large waxcap with pink to rose-lilac cap, which is narrowly conical and irregularly lobed.

Characteristics:

Up to 70mm, first narrowly conical and irregularly lobed later expanded with an acute umbo. Viscid to dry, finely radially fibrillose.	Often paler than cap, free. Long tramacells.	Often very long, up to 120mm. White to pale pink, smooth, fibrillose.	None

Ecology/Indicatorvalue:

P. calyptriformis is one of the rarest waxcaps we have in Norway. It is clearly bound to the coastal areas of Western Norway. Indicatorvalue is unknown since it is so rare, but it normally grows together with many other rare grasslandfungi.
It is found several places in Hordaland County among other in Totland, Bømlo, where it was found in 2003 and has not been recovered since.

Fructification in Norway: From beginning of September to medio October, mainly in September.
